Service Delivery & Digital Goods Policy

    This policy describes how JobTailor delivers its services and digital goods to users, delivery timeframes, and what happens if delivery fails.

    1. Service Overview

    JobTailor provides a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that generates AI-assisted job application documents (CVs, cover letters, application emails, statements of purpose). All services are delivered entirely online via our web platform at jobtailor.org.

    2. Credit Delivery & Activation

    • Immediate delivery: Credits are delivered to your account immediately upon successful payment. No waiting period is required.
    • Account requirement: You must create and verify an account to purchase and use credits. See registration details below.
    • Account access: Once credited, you can use your credits immediately by logging into your dashboard and initiating a document generation session.
    • Credit validity: Credits do not expire and remain valid for as long as your account is active, unless otherwise stated in promotional terms.

    3. Document Generation & Delivery Timeline

    • Typical processing: Most document generation requests are completed within 5–60 seconds, depending on service load and document type selected.
    • Peak hours: During periods of high demand, processing times may extend up to 2 minutes. Free-tier users may experience longer waits than paid-tier users.
    • Access to generated documents: Upon completion, generated documents are immediately accessible in your account dashboard for download, editing, and sharing.
    • Download formats: Documents are available for download in Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF formats.
    • No automatic email delivery: Documents are not sent by email; you must download them from your account dashboard.

    4. Service Availability & Access

    • 24/7 availability (expected): JobTailor aims to provide 24/7 access to the platform, subject to scheduled maintenance and unforeseen technical issues.
    • Maintenance windows: We may perform scheduled maintenance with notice, during which the Service may be temporarily unavailable.
    • Service interruptions: Unscheduled interruptions due to technical issues, server failures, or third-party service outages may occur. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service quickly.
    • Backup & data recovery: Your account data and generated documents are stored securely and backed up regularly. In case of data loss, we will attempt to restore your data, though we cannot guarantee full recovery.

    5. What Happens if Delivery Fails or Times Out

    • Failed generation requests: If a document generation request fails or times out, the credit will not be deducted from your account (or will be refunded if already deducted). You will receive an error message explaining the failure.
    • Service outages: If the Service is unavailable due to JobTailor server issues, you will not be charged for failed document requests, and credits will remain in your account.
    • User-initiated cancellation: If you cancel a generation request before completion, the credit will not be consumed.
    • Support for failed deliveries: If you experience repeated failures or believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact support at contact@jobtailor.org with details of the incident.

    6. Account Access & Termination

    • Continuous access: Once purchased, credits remain accessible for use until your account is deleted or suspended.
    • Account suspension: If your account is suspended due to violation of our Terms of Service, you lose access to your credits and the Service. Suspended credits are non-refundable.
    • Account deletion: Upon requesting account deletion, we begin the deletion process within 30 days. Your access to credits ceases immediately, and any remaining credits are forfeited.
    • Data retention: For compliance and fraud prevention, we may retain minimal account metadata after deletion (account ID, deletion date, partial activity logs) for up to 6 months.

    7. Third-Party Service Dependencies

    JobTailor uses third-party services for payment processing, AI processing, data storage, and analytics. While we maintain agreements with these providers to ensure reliable service, we cannot guarantee that their outages or failures will not affect your access to JobTailor. In case of third-party failures beyond our control, we will notify users and make reasonable efforts to restore service.

    8. No Guarantee of Document Quality or Acceptance

    JobTailor generates documents using AI, which may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific needs. We do not guarantee that:

    • Generated documents will be accepted by employers or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
    • Generated content will improve your job application success rate
    • Generated documents will be grammatically perfect or factually accurate
    • Generated documents will comply with all applicable laws or industry standards

    You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and customizing generated documents before submission. Use of generated documents is at your own risk.

    9. Changes to This Policy

    JobTailor may update this Service Delivery Policy at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
