Question 1

How does Job Tailor tailor my documents?

Accepted Answer

Job Tailor uses advanced AI to analyze both your CV and the job description, identifying key matches and gaps. It then rewrites your CV, cover letter, and email to emphasize relevant experience and skills while maintaining your authentic voice.

Question 2

What is the fit score and how is it calculated?

Accepted Answer

The fit score (0-100%) measures how well your background matches the job requirements. It's calculated using AI embeddings that compare your skills, experience, and qualifications against the job description, highlighting matched keywords and identifying missing skills.

Question 3

Can I edit the generated documents?

Accepted Answer

Yes! All generated documents can be reviewed and edited inline. You can request AI revisions with specific instructions, or manually edit before downloading. Changes are preserved for future reference.

Question 4

What formats can I download?

Accepted Answer

All documents can be downloaded as both Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF files. Word format allows further editing, while PDF is ready for immediate submission.

Question 5

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All uploaded documents are encrypted at rest and in transit. We follow industry-standard security practices and never share your personal information. You can delete your data at any time from your account settings.

Question 6

What happens when I run out of credits?

Accepted Answer

Credits are used to generate documents: 1 credit = 1 generated document. Free users start with 3 credits on signup, and you can purchase additional credits whenever you need more.

Question 7

Does it work with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Job Tailor includes ATS optimization that formats your documents for better parsing by automated systems. We use clean layouts, standard fonts, and strategic keyword placement to maximize your chances of passing ATS screening.

Question 8

How long does document generation take?

Accepted Answer

Most document sets are generated in under 30 seconds. Free tier users may experience slightly longer wait times during peak hours, while paid plans get priority processing.

Question 9

Is job hunting available in my region?

Accepted Answer

Document generation (CVs, cover letters) works for everyone regardless of location. Automated job matching is live in Zimbabwe and we are expanding to more regions soon. Check during onboarding or contact us for updates.

Question 10

Are you accepting new users right now?

Accepted Answer

Not at the moment — new registrations are currently paused while we wind the project down, and we're sincerely sorry for the disappointment. Thank you to everyone who tried JobTailor and supported us. If you already have an account, you can still sign in and access your saved files. We hope to welcome new users again in the future.
